The
girl went to the office to see her teacher but she had gone home. So, she
decided to just sit at the cubicle and complete some notes. As she was doing
this, her mind was kept busy thinking about how to go on for another week
with only Rm10. Her thought was
interrupted by a familiar voice greeting her 'Hi there!' What are
you doing at Miss Nisa's cubicle? Where is she by the way? " The girl was
already smiling even before she turned around to look at the friendly teacher. “ Hi hi
teacher ! Miss Nisa had gone home, thought I’ll just stay here for a while and complete some notes.” The
conversation lasted for a few minutes before the teacher went off. After
completing her work, the girl packed her things and was on her way out when she
saw the teacher again. Much to her surprise, the teacher took her hand and gave
her Rm50. The girl was puzzled and asked, 'Teacher, why are you giving me
money? " The teacher merely smiled and said, “ No special reason. Just felt like it ".
Tears filled the girl's eyes and she repeatedly thanked the teacher. The girl
then left the office feeling so happy and relief. Alhamdulillah, God had answered her prayer.
You might not see it now but it will become visible as you venture deeper into life..

MY FAVORITE NASYID
Permata Ayah Bonda
Album : Keampunan
Munsyid : Firdaus
http://liriknasyid.com
Mewangi kuntuman bahagia
Di halaman ayah serta bonda
Menatang selaut cahaya
Melerai resah dan gundah di jiwa
Segunung impian dicitaSelangit harapan di damba
Dibelai, dimanja mesra
Kaulah racun, kau penawar
Senyuman dan tangisanmu
Pengubat duka dan lara
C/O
Engkau umpama sebutir permata
Diperlubukkan kasih nan bersinar, bercahaya
Hiasi rumahtangga
Engkau harapan seisi keluarga
Panjatan doa dan aimata
Yang pasrah kepada Yang Esa
Kepadamu tercurah
Kasih sayang dan pengorbanan
Agar terus gemilang
Dididik, diasuh tiap masa
Diajarkan ilmu yang berguna
Mengenal Allah dan Rasul
Menyemai, menyubur iman di dada
Dilayur segala kekerasan
Dilentur dengan kelembutan
Dititip seuntai madah
Hidupmu mula dan berakhir
Menyusur fitrah dan sunnah
Bernoktah di penghujungnya
C/O
Tiada yang lebih membahagiakan
Melihat dirimu kian membesar, dewasa
Di dalam sejahtera
Usah terpesona pujukan dunia
Yang hanya menyilau pandangan
Memukau dengan keindahannya
Nasihat ayah bonda
Agar engkau lebih bersedia
Untuk menghadapinya
Bersemi kelopak kasih sayang
Di persada cinta yang sejati
Titisan susu ibunda
Menyegarkan, menghapuskan dahaga
Renjisan keringat dari ayahanda
Menyubur pohon kehidupan
Tuaian sebidang tabah
Buatmu doa dan harapan
Jadilah insan yang mulia
Pembela di hari tua
C/O
Waktu bisa merubah segalanya
Dewasalah dalam rahmat dan kasih Ilahi
Redahi pancaroba
Andai langkahmu tersasar kesimpangan
Pulanglah ke laman ayah bonda
Kembali menghuni di tamannya
Bersamalah semula
Menghirup embunan kasih sayang
Sedingin airmata bonda
Engkaulah permata ayah bonda....

GROWING YEARS
My son came home sulking. I looked at him
and asked, " What is wrong boy? Did you get into a fight in school? "
"Nope !" came the short reply."Then, why are looking like a
sulking bear ?" He did not answer me this time. My maternal instinct told
me to leave the matter first. "Ok, maybe you want to talk about it
later. "
He finally opened up to me a few days later.
"Mom, am I a good boy ?"
"Yes, you have always been such a good
boy . "
" Then, why did my friends keep pushing
me away ? The other day, my best friend left me for another friend. "
I chuckled upon hearing that !
"Mom, you laugh at me..how could you.
"
Ha ! Ha! How could I not laugh? He sounded
like he was jilted.
In between laughter, I said " I'm not
laughing at you la..I'm laughing near you !"
"Mom..."
That was the
conversation I had with my son a few years back. Now ? Now he is one very happy
boy , leading life under MRSM roof! He's been telling me that life is fun and so
enjoyable there! Why? Because he has many friends now! Not just during school
hours or for just 24 hours but 24-7, round the clock! Now, when asked, "
How many good friends do you have ?" The list would be a never ending one; " Emm, there's R, A,
emm N, S, ...emm.......bla bla.." Being the only boy in the family, it is
understandable why he finds boarding school a haven !

Seeking Forgiveness /Repentance / Isteghfar
Istighfaar means seeking forgiveness of Allah for
the sins so far committed and turning repentant unto Allah.
Ibn
Abbas relates that the was in the company of Imam Ali when a man came and said
Mawla, I have transgressed much "Imam Ali told him: PRAY ISTIGHFAAR.
Another man came and said : Mawla my land has become arid and parched, what
shall I do ?. Imam Ali told him PRAY ISTIGHFAR. After a few moments
another came and said Mawla I am poverty stricken. Nothing I do bearts
fruit. Is there any remedy. Imam Ali said: PRAY ISTIGHFAR.
Then another man came and said : Mawla Allah has not yet blessed me with a
child. What should I do. Imam Ali told him PRAY ISTIGHAFAR.
I asked him : O AMIRUL MUMININ - though the
problems were different, but to each of them you advised to pray ISTIGHFAAR.
Imam
Ali said : Because Allah says in surah Nuh: And I said : seek forgiveness of
your Lord. Verily he is ever most forgiving. He will send you
abundant rain from the heaven and will help you with wealth and sons, and will
make for you gardens and will make for your rivers.

FAITH
There
was a day when I voiced my worry over my eldest daughter's SPM
results. I told her I was worried sick about it as she was not well
the last few days of the exam. She merely looked at me and said, "
Mom, do not worry. I had done my best. What we need to do now is just
to have faith in Allah swt. " For a while, I was taken aback
by her words. But then, I saw truth in her words. Yes, you must have
faith in Allah swt ( yakin pada Allah swt ). Never assume or
be judgmental for Allah swt will never turn His back on you.
There's always a fair share for you and everybody on this planet.
When you have done your part and given your best, you should then
pray hard and believe that Allah swt would never disappoint
you. If it happens otherwise, then spare a moment to analyze the
situations and yourself, for everything happens for a reason and at
its own time. We may not realise it now, but we will as we venture
deeper into life.
When you are tested with musibah, it is actually to
take you back to Him. This is because, in such a situation,
you will ask for His Help and seek forgiveness continuously.
It is not easy but remember, if He brings you to it, He will
always bring you through it. As the saying goes, there is
always a silver lining in every dark cloud. There is always Hikmah.
You just need to believe and hold on tight to your faith,
La-ilaha-iLLaLLah-
Muhammadur-Rasulullah (لا اله
الا الله Ù…Øمد رسول ...).

FRIGHT CHICKEN
When
I wrote this, I was at a stall (warung) waiting for my order. The kids love
fried Siakap and that was exactly what I was waiting for. The business was okay
I guess, coz quite a number of people came here often, including me. However, I did not intend to talk about this stall. Instead I would like to share with you my
experience with the stall next to it. Well, the other stall which sells roti
canai and a few types of rice opens only in the morning. Actually, I had once
gone through a not so pleasant experience with the owner. However, it did not
stop me from coming. Guess, simply because the husband made very yummy
roti canai.
The day before was one of the days when I felt like buying just fried chicken. So, I went to the stall and packed 5 pieces of fried chickens myself and waited for my turn to pay.
The wife then noticed me and asked, “ How many nasi do you want ? ” I said, “None, only fried chicken. ” Then came the hurtful
remarks. “ Cikgu, we don’t sell fried chicken without nasi coz we are not
selling just lauk pauk. We don’t want
the rice to be wasted if there are not enough fried chickens to go along with
it. How many are you buying ? 5 ? Ok, but actually we don’t sell it this
way. ” She said those words without even looking at me. The expression on her
face was enough to tell me that she also
meant to say, " Have I made myself clear ? " Her words left me
feeling stupid and I stood there for
some time looking at her not knowing what to say. I did glance around me once and saw that most of the customers
were looking at me. The next thing I did was to put back 2 pieces and paid for only three. Then, I left the stall feeling like I had just been
jilted and slapped in the face by someone.. actually, humiliated
would be the right word.
Talking
about rezeki Allah swt.. Maybe it didn’t cross her mind that it is not just
about hard work..but also to be kind to the people around you, to work with the
right niyah; lillahi taala. Or maybe I
was just being too sensitive…kut..
